Seriously Dude?

You ever just see something at school or in public and think "Seriously dude?" I know I do... EVERYONE has a few pet peeves..
1) When people come into MY house and tell me what I can and can't do
2) When people smack their food
3) Hypocrites
4) When people look at you like your stupid after telling a joke
5) When bikers don't stop at stop signs
6) When you are in the car with people and a song comes on and they pretend to know all the words
7) Two-faced people
8) People who post more than 5 statuses a day on facebook
9) When people never reply to texts....
10) When someone doesn't believe you
11) When boys don't flush. ew.
12) People who judge others without knowing them
13) UNforgiving people
14) Cheaters
15) People who over react
16) People who crave attention
17) When people break promises
Okay, let's be real here.. no one is perfect. Obviously. But most of those things can be controlled. Actually, all of them can. How do you want to be known?

My Happily Ever After

I loooove this song so much <3 It's pretty true too..
It is so true that you don't know what you have until it's gone.. I mean, I loved Aaron when he was here in Vancouver and this might sound weird but I love him so much more now that he is gone. I have realized what our relationship is really built off of. It's not like one of those relationships where you constantly have to be together, holding hands, kissing, etc. There is so much I could say about us. Being away from one another makes you have trust and strength. It's one of those things that if you can get through as a couple, you can make it through anything. Another thing I have noticed about a lot of other successful couples is that all of them have broken up once. It is interesting that people go back and fix everything and then there is never a problem after that. Love prevails A LOT. Love makes you smile, it makes you laugh, it makes you the happiest person ever. But it can also make you cry. When you love someone it makes you sad to be away from them. Thinking up scenarios in my head makes me smile even when I'm alone just sitting on my bed. I find myself many times throughout the day smiling about Aaron and Ashley scenarios. People probably think I'm crazy. Oh well! My favorite thing ever is when I'm about to fall asleep and Aaron calls me just to say "Goodnight beautiful" :) Sweet, simple and to the point. That is all it takes to make me happy. I don't want/need a bunch of stuff to please me. I just want to be loved like every other person on earth, and that is what I'm getting. I will continue towards my happily ever after.

What is happily ever after?
I have a pretty good idea of what I want my happily ever after to be. I want to get married in the Portland, OR Temple or the Rexburg, ID temple.

My husband is my best friend and I want our children to have a good childhood. I want to be able to say to my kids that I went to college and got my dream education. I think Aaron got me hooked on the whole idea of not having neighbors because of where he lives. I want to live somewhere my kids can run and have adventure beyond belief without having to worry about being hit by the car coming down the road. I want to be able to have campfires in my backyard without anyone calling the fire department. Having no neighbors seems pretty amazing to me. I want to have a big doggie that me and my kids will love. I love big dogs. I want to be a good wife and someone that my husband and children look to as an example. I want to keep a strong relationship with my husband throughout our marriage. I never want to go to bed angry. I want to stay strong in my church and keep a strong testimony always. I want to live where my parents can see my kids every once in a while. Maybe not right next door, but my kids will know who grandma and grandpa are. I want to teach my kids right from wrong with my husband. I want to have fun conversations at the dinner table. I want to be able to see my own kids grow up and have families of their own. Is that too much to ask?
I will continue to work towards my happily ever after.

 Adventures with Stephanie Powers

 Western Day <3

Hahahah story of my life :):)

The BEST of the BEST

I had to start out with this picture so that I could tag Sienna Powers. This is what happens when you have a sleepover at the Powers house. Me, Stephanie, and Sienna all slept in the same bed last night and this is what Sienna looks like in the morning. We laughed for a long time about this because it was like a rat nest in the back...

SO I basically had the best weekend ever. Friday night Stephanie came over and we played Just Dance 3 and it was so much fun! Saturday I got to sleep in thank goodness and my mommy mad me waffles. I <3 waffles. Then I got ready for the best of EFY and headed to that with Stephanie and Nikki. Nikki broke her arm a few days ago though so she left because she was in a lot of pain :( But Stephanie and I sat with Sienna and listened to the speakers. The first speaker was Hank Smith. THE funniest man I have ever been in the presence of. His talk was on friends and how important they are in our lives. One of my favorite quotes that he used was "Do you love your friends or do you love having friends?" I think that is something a lot of people need to think about. Most of the "popular" kids in school don't even like their friends. They just like the idea of everyone liking them and giving them attention. How sad. Another quote I liked was "dressing immodestly is like rolling in manure; you'll get a lot of attention, but mostly from pigs." The second speaker was Brother Jacobs and his topic was "How To Be Chaste While Being Chased" and there was quote that made the whole congregation just bust up laughing; "Raw meat only attracts dogs." (Referring to modesty) Stephanie, Sienna and I all just looked at each other and kinda said "WHAT!" and started laughing. It was so funny that he said that over the pulpit! We then had dinner with everyone. The dance was like the funnest thing ever. It was so hot in there, but it was still a night to remember. Me and my friends actually danced and we were crazy and guess what? IT WAS FUN. Being crazy with your friends and bold is not something that we do often, but when we do we always have a great time. After the dance we went to dessert and Sienna and I went to Stephanie's house to spend the night. I like that me and those girls can talk and laugh about anything. We have fun together. Today we woke up and just kinda laid around for a while cause Steph's church isn't until1pm. We went to church which was good, then came home and played Just Dance. We kinda love that game. We decided that we were going to make home made Reese's but that just turned into Sienna making Reese's and Steph and I dancing. Sorry Sienna! haha All in all, amazing weekend full of laughs and spiritual uplifting moments. :)

BABY!!!

Look at the BABY!! She is soo cute!! I want one.

I also want these...
Are those not the cutest heels you have ever seen?! Yeah, they are. :)

Last night I spent like 7 hours on homework which is totally GROSS. Goodness. Who does that?! Yeah, apparently I do! I did like 25 math problems, 10 articles and 10 MLA citations for my RAP paper without using easybib.com which takes forever! I did notes for history and then a graphic organizer on 5 reformers. OH and I also did a book report. That was all due in one day. Sickening. But then I went to dinner with my parents and it was a really good night. I got to talk about me and only me because it was just the three of us. It was fun. Me and my dad laughed hysterically and the dumbest things!
But today was a good day. Just a relaxed Friday at school. Nothing major to do in class and we had a really interesting discussion in Environmental Science today about toxins in our food. It was kinda gross but I thought it was interesting. After school I went to the mall with my sister and I got some cute new earrings. I came home and had a nice dinner with my family and now Stephanie is coming over so we can play Just Dance 3. I'm super excited. Life is just good :)
I love my family
I love my friends
I love Aaron Davis
The End :)

It's Like Titanic... Without the Boy

Early Release days are awesome. Go to school for 3 hours and then hang out with my friends. Today after school Stephanie came over and then we went to Seize the Bagel with Heather and Rachael. After that we decided we wanted to go to the View Point over by QFC so we met up with Clarisa and went up there. This is what me and my friends do when we are together... I <3 them.

"It's like titanic.. but without the hot guy"

I looooove this picture <3

I Ain't Ever Changin' My Mind

So for a Monday today was awesome. I went back to school and surprisingly my teachers were happy to see me. They were nice about the make up work that I had to do and my English teacher even told me I don't have to do anything for her class until I know for sure I am caught up with the rest of my classes. I <3 her. Same with my History teacher. He did give me a few things to do, but told me to take my time getting them in. Nice of my math teacher to have about 6 pages of math to do. Not my favorite subject. :P But it's whatever. I'm just happy that I can be out of the house and healthy again. It is the little things that make my day too :) Like this note I found in my scriptures.. :)

We had my sister's 22nd birthday dinner last night as a family. It was nice I guess.. although I have a hard time with the way my brother acts towards me sometimes, I try to push through. At the end of the night I was pretty upset because of a few things that had been said to me. I was texting Aaron and he knew how upset I was. He called me and we talked it all out. He makes everything so much better. I love that I can talk to him about anything and know that he will listen and do his best to get me smiling again. He did a good job. We talked for a while and by the end of the conversation I had forgotten why I was even upset. I think it is cool to be able to call your boyfriend your bestfriend. That is something that everyone says and it's pretty cliche but whatever. It's true. When we first started hanging out we would just sit in my family room and talk for hours and hours. I remember the first time we talked for a long time. After I could tell there was something different about this boy. He was real and he didn't want to talk for the reasons that other boys did. He really cared about what I had to say and he was genuine. I loved that about him. I'm happy to say our relationship is still that way. If he were in front of me right now I know for a fact we would have something to talk about. No matter what, we always do. I love that we became best friends before we jumped into our relationship the second time. What some people don't know about Aaron and I is that we broke up back in May. But once we got over everything, we became best friends. We hung out every day and it was different than anything I had ever felt for anyone. There was something about us together that was just.. right. This summer when we would hangout I didn't know if he wanted to be with me again. I didn't know if I was the only one that still had feelings for him. Towards the end of July he started showing me that it wasn't just me. As we came back from the movies one night the song "Crazy Girl" came on,
which I had heard a few times but didn't really think anything of it. As the lyrics "Crazy girl don't you know that I love you?"
came on he looked at me and said "Woooowww new favorite song!" I knew then that there was no other girl the song could possibly be about. I got the biggest smile on my face. I went home and thought about that song. A few weeks later while at the beach Aaron pulled out a coin and said "Make a wish" I said okay and he did too. We tossed the coin into the ocean and he quickly said "What did you wish for?!" I said "What did YOU wish for?" but I got no answer. I told him what I wished for but he wouldn't tell me what he wished for. On the way home I whispered "What did you wish for?" he grabbed my hand and smiled. Still wouldn't tell me though! As I was about to walk into my house that night I said once more "What did you wish for?" and he looked deep into my eyes and said "You." probably the cutest thing ever. :)

Will You Marry Me?

I LOVE weddings. Goodness they are just so precious! I love wedding pictures/engagements too :) Sooo cute!! I can't wait to get married. That's so weird to say.. but hey I could be married in like 2 years. Which I think is freakin' awesome. I already know how I'm going to pose in my pictures ;) One of my biggest pet peeves about weddings is when the couple does their kissing picture(s)... The girl does it ALL WRONG! Example:
No no nooo. Super awkward...
Example of what TO do..
Seeeeeee! Much better :) (Plus they are at the Temple)

Anyway, I can't wait to have kids either, I love babies! They are so cute! My sister's friend Stephanie is a photographer and she takes pictures of families. I saw this family and I just about melted. The children are so cute, you can't help but smile!

That is really all I have to say.. haha I just love babies and I am excited to get married :)

It Will Be Okay, I Promise

Most of you know (unless you've been living under a rock for the past 9 days) that I have been really sick lately. It all started about 2 weeks ago. I woke up one morning with a terrible headache. I thought maybe I was dehydrated or something to brought a water bottle to school with me and nothing seemed to help. It lasted for about 5 days and it made me very tired so when I would get home from school I would take long naps. I thought maybe I needed glasses so my mom set up an appointment for me. The day of the appointment came and I felt fine, everything was back to normal. I was so relieved. Two days went by and my throat became sore. I thought it was a common cold of some sort and that I could flush it out of my system by constantly drinking water. By the second day with a sore throat drinking water became unbearable. I was restless and in more pain than I think I have ever been. I stumbled into my family room where my dad was peacefully watching football and asked for a blessing. I could talk a little still, just enough that he could understand what I was saying after a few times saying it. The next morning I went to the doctors where they did a strep test. If the test was positive they could prescribe me some antibiotics and I would be better within a day or two. When the strep test was negative, the nurse suggested I see one of the doctors ASAP. The doctor told me I had tonsillitis and possibly Mononucleosis.(Mono) Because my sore throat had only started three days earlier he said that if I did a blood test that day, the lab workers would not be able to catch what was wrong yet. Keep in mind, this is Friday and I am in so much pain that I can't talk, eat, swallow, barely breathe, etc. I thought to myself there was no way I could make it a few more days to have a blood test done. I went home Friday and slept, and slept... and slept. Rest is the best treatment for mono. Saturday I woke up in even more pain than the day before. My throat was almost swollen closed. It was hard to sleep because of the little amounts of air going into my system. Sunday, even worse. Monday, THE worst. I woke up and went to my doctors appointment to have my blood test done for Mono. I walked in and did the usual weight, height, temperature, blood pressure thing but this time when I stepped on the scale it read 7lbs less than it had three days earlier. That was scary. After I had my blood taken, a different doctor came in to talk to me, well my mom since I couldn't talk at this point. She wanted to do another strep test just to make sure. She wasn't very nice about it either :( my tonsils are swollen and huge and she just sticks her little cotton swab right on down there! Geez. I don't know why that made me so mad. After she did that she said the results for both the tests would be back in about 20 minutes. I was so tired, I fell asleep on one of those paper bed things in the rooms. I woke up to a knock at the door where the doctor came in and told me that the strep test was once again negative and the mono test was.. positive. To most people it would be a relief to know what they have but for me it was different. Mono is a Virus. Doctors can't prescribe antibiotics for Viruses, only bacteria. My heart sunk a little as I realized I would have to just wait everything out. I went home discouraged knowing all I could do was sleep. I slept most of the day and tried to eat/drink something, anything. I didn't like feeling hungry all the time and that sharp pain and cringe that was sent through my body every time I would swallow. I couldn't do it. I think I went about 5 days without food. I did drink some apple juice and have a strawberry popsicle but really that was nothing. Tuesday was no different. I wasn't getting any better. Wednesday I woke up in a horrible situation. Sorry if this is too much information.. but I woke up with my mouth completely bone dry. I couldn't even put my tongue into my mouth. I went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror to find that while I was sleeping my lips had become so dry that they cracked and bled everywhere. There was dry blood on my teeth, tongue and lips. That was painful. I tried to swish some water around to get everything wet again. After I did that, I brushed my teeth and as I was brushing, the cuts on my lips reopened right as my mom looked in. Of course that was scary for her because all she could see what bright red blood coming from my mouth and I couldn't tell her what was wrong. I didn't want her to freak out so I had to just close the door and deal with it for a minute alone. When I opened the door again my mom was standing there with some mouthwash that my doctor had prescribed. It was suppose to make my throat numb for a few hours. It looked like pepto bismol. I wasn't putting that in my mouth! Ew. I finally did and it was disgusting and of course it did nothing for me. I went to take a bath to try and relax a little bit. My mom went to get her hair done in my sisters new salon. While she was gone my doctor called her and said she had some steroids I could take. My mom text me and let me know. I was soo happy to hear that. She got home and pulled out your typical orange pill bottle. In my moms hand she held two tiny green pills. I shook the pill bottle and shook my head as to why there were only too. She  said they would work. I gotta admit, with the size of these things I thought there was no way they were going to do anything for me. I had to crush them up and put them with food. Pills, more like poison. They were gross too. I ate them anyway and took a 4 hour nap. I woke up and to my surprise.. THOSE WERE MAGICAL PILLS. I'm not kidding, I woke up and swallowed, I talked, I COULD BREATHE!! I was soo happy!! After 9 days of.. I don't even know what to call it.... terribleness I was going to be okay. I was full of energy that night, which was a side effect of the steroids which were called Dexamethasone. (lol)  I woke up this morning feeling like Ashley again, most amazing feeling ever :)

While I was home and missed 6 days of school my mom was by me every step of the way. She did EVERYTHING for me. I bet it was really annoying that I couldn't talk back.. but now I'm all better!! Thank you for being the best mommy ever!
Thank you to my whole family who has been there too, making me laugh and smile through all of this.
Thank you to my amazing friends who came to visit me, that was so sweet of you guys <3
Thank you Stephanie for checking in on me every few hours to make sure I wasn't dead! :)
Thank you to my awesome seminary class who made me the coolest card ever!!

Thanks to my boyfrined who is 600 miles away but still made me laugh and smile with silly pictures and cute messages :)
Thank you all for being so awesome and loving, I'm going to live!!! :)

Days Go By

I have been sick the past two days. Blehhh. I hate being sick! But hey, life is still good. Today Megan and I went to get a Wii. Yeah I know, most people in America got theirs like years ago. NOT us! We got a black one and we got Mario Cart and Just Dance 2! When my dad got home from work he looked at us and said "I think this family just got a whole lot more fun!" Success. OH and we love Amazon because we got a brand new Wii remote and nunchuck in PINK for $7. Schweeeeet.

I would also like to say that I love the friends that I have. I may not be the most popular girl in school, but I don't care. That is not what I center my life around... being popular and well known in High School. As long as my friends can make me laugh and keep me up when I'm down that is all I need. I have let go of the friendships that do nothing for me in life. I don't need someone in my life who doesn't care and is just going to talk to me once or twice a week. I need people who actually CARE about what's going on and will have an actual conversation with me about what I care about too. I cannot stand when you talk to someone and all they have to say is about themselves and they never bother asking you about you. Man that bugs me. But that is their way of living and I can't stop them. The other day my mom and I had an experience with a lady that we have to spend quite a bit of time with. I personally think this person was raised in such a way that they are not hardened and are not sensitive to the world. My mom's initial reaction was "I can try and teach her through my acts of kindness and loving nature." I quickly responded to my mom saying "You can't change a 30 year old women. You can't even change a 16 year old. They have to want to change themselves." Change is a big thing and it is not always easy, but let me tell you, if you want it, you can achieve it. If you want something bad enough, it can be done. Well most of the time.. Change was something that I decided I wanted a few months ago. I know that people can see a difference in me now. Some people don't like it and I don't really care. Just because I'm not the immature, judgmental person I used to be, doesn't mean I'm a bad person. Duh, it means I'm a better person than I used to be and maybe you should think twice about how you treat others too. Judgment is a part of life and everyone does it.. but that doesn't mean everything you think has to be said to that person or even out loud at all. If changing is something that you want to do. Make it happen.

It's Not Just Me

I miss my boyfriend. I know people think I talk about him a lot.. But hey, I love him and he is gone so deal with it.

It's not just you...

It was General Conference this weekend and I watched all four sessions for probably the first time in my whole life, well from what I can remember. It was amazing. I love hearing the Prophet and his apostles speak the truths of the church. I love the fact that they do not get assigned their topics, they pray about what they think that world needs to hear. I think that is amazing.

I have been having better days and things are looking up for lil' ol' Ashley Belle. I have a new mind set to things.. If your boyfriend doesn't text you for 12 hours during the day, he still loves you and cares about you. He is busy and has a life. If you wake up in a bad mood, shake it off and pretend you are wearing an invisible crown every single day. If your teacher yells at you in class, shut up and listen to what they have to say.. it is probably important. If someone offends you during the day, try to remember that love comes back. If you lose a friend, there will always be someone else that makes you happy too. Hold on to those people who uplift you and make you a better person. If there is a point in your life where your sister is your only girl friend, let it be so, sister's are awesome. If you cry a little sometimes, that's okay. It's only natural as a girl to cry every once in a while, and it releases toxins. If you have a bad hair day, work that up-do. Be the kind of person people look at in the hallways because you are always smiling, not because you have some revealing clothing on. Be the kind of person you would want to be around.

If you know me, then you know that I LOVE music and I believe it has a big impact on people. It can affect your mood, and your whole day. Music teaches me a lot. It might rain, but it will get better. One of the reasons I love country music is because it always has a meaning behind it and most of the songs I can relate to. All of us can. Every one has their time when they feel alone, but we are never really alone. Think about that.. we are NEVER alone and He is just a prayer away. Talk to Him. He loves hearing from you.

How Did We Get Here?

No this song is not about Aaron, because I know him very well. But it is about a friendship that I had just a few months ago that has dwindled to almost nothing.

I have had a good week I guess. I have an amazing family, great friends, and I'm going to sound a little cocky but dang it.. I am awesome. I am proud of myself because I have kept my good grades going throughout the first 5 weeks of school. As of yesterday I had 3 As and 2 Bs and then seminary.. which you don't get a grade for.. OH and I have no missing assignments. This is MY year.

I love being a junior, going off campus with my friends and SCREAMING at the top of our lungs "Somebody Like You" by Adele. I love that Stephanie and I always look at each other and say "SWAG." hahaha I love that girl. School used to be a place that I hated, but hey it's slowly growing on me! I went to Heather's soccer game with Stephanie and we decided that we miss playing :/ I think I'm going to play next year so I don't get fat or something. Plus it's good to stay in shape.

Right now I'm going on day.. 5? with this stupid headache. I'm going to the doctors on Monday so hopefully they can figure something out. I don't even care if I need glasses at this point, I just want this headache GONE!!

So I don't seem like a negative nancy with that last paragraph here are some images to make you smile ;)

She is modest, must be a mighty Mormon ;D

One piece, rockin' it!
