Even though you aren't very good at singing sometimes, I still love the messages in your songs. You understand me. Thanks for making me laugh and cry at the emotions you make me feel.
Love,
Girl who wishes she could write songs on how she was feeling
Okay... We all know Taylor Swift isn't the best singer.. but c'mon you know you love her. It's almost like she is right beside me and then goes to write a song about it. She is just awesome. I wish I could play the guitar so I could sing more of her songs.
I have really been missing Aaron this week. But I got some funny pictures so these made me smile :)
He said "We got to go tracting in the total bush!!"
He got to pretend he was shot for a primary activity. When I first saw this I freaked a little...
Their new chapel in Forest Lake! Their temporary chapel was above a pron shop.. so they are very grateful for this new building!
Recently I was just thinking about how awesome it is when you apologize to someone and they won't accept it. NOT. If you're LDS, I really do expect more out of you since you should be forgiving everyone. Plus if we are all trying to be Christ-like here, He loved everyone and never held a grudge. Even to those who hated Him and used Him. If I know that someone is sorry, I'm not going to continue to hold a grudge toward them. It makes me sad that people can go on living life being continually mad at certain people. It's a lot harder to hate someone than it is to love them. Smiling really isn't that hard to do so I have been trying to do that more when I'm walking the halls at school.
Smile, you never know who's falling in love with it.
On Monday a lady told me and my sister that we looked alike. We have never thought we looked anything alike so that was one of the few times we've heard that. But I love my seeeester <3
New music <3 YES.
I am no obsessed with these 5 songs. Make fun of me all you want, I like them! :)
;) Ohhhhh JB
These are just happy songs that I'm super excited to play in the car rollin' down the road with the windows down. It has been soo beautiful here the past few days! I wish it would stick around.. but supposedly it's gonna be cloudy with a chance of rain tomorrow D:
I was thinking today.. My life would make a good book. Haha not to be cocky.. if that is cocky. But really! I think that some things that I've been through would go great in a book. Since I keep a journal, writing a book would be so much fun! Ahhh I want to write a book when I get married. I would write a book based on the true stories that go on from 2011-1014. Bam. My book will be awesome.
My sister got her new iPod this week so we just had to take pictures on instagram. Someone told us today that we look alike.. We have never thought we looked anything like each other. So that was a little weird. But we are cute nonetheless ;)
I'm becoming very upset over the fact that my phone is broken because it broke the night of prom and I probably got a bunch of texts that night that I will never be able to see. That's the only thing that makes me super mad. It's oh well though. My new one should be here soon.
We just went to dairy queen for some ice cream as a family. While we were there we were all screaming "Weee are younnnggggggg! So we'll set the world on fiiiiiiireeeeee..." and we hear a long horn go off behind us. We look back and a mini van backed into a midnight blue 350z. The man in the mini van got out with his hand over his mouth just in shock at what he had just done. The other man got out of his little car and briskly walked to the front of the car, brushed his hand across the front of his car and came very close to the other mans face. I thought I was about to witness a throw down at dairy queen! The man in the 350z stuck his hand out for a handshake. They shook hands and that was the end of it. What a nice guy!
In english class we started reading "The Great Gatspy" and the first sentence let me know this book might not be so bad. It says "Whenever you feel like criticizing any one... just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantages that you've had." love it <3
PROM! It was way fun :) My group decided we were gonna wear aviators together.. haha I'm excited to get our pictures back! I loved being twirled around in my dress all night and I learned that swing dancing is super fun :) Plus, I got really good at dancing in my heels. Didn't take them off until the last 15 minutes. Big mistake. My feet were killin' me. It was a great night though. Thanks for being a great date Braiden!
My phone is broken.. again. But what's funny is last time it broke I was going crazy and just HAD to have it fixed. I'm really not this time. I mean I miss it, but I'm not going crazy. Probably because last time Aaron was here and I wanted to talk to him :P I am looking forward to this week because I love getting letters from my elder! Best part of my week by far! Also, it was so gorgeous outside today that I hope the rest of the week is warm! I even got a lil bit of color today from laying out :)
Hope everyone who went to prom had a great time and here's to one less week of school! :)
My title this week is a quote from my amazing Elder. He uplifts me so much.
This weekend was really terrible so I'm not going to sit here and talk about everything bad that happened. Instead I want to focus on the few good things that did happen.
Friday night when I was upset, two of my guy friends came over to make sure I was okay. That meant a lot to me considering the fact I don't have many close friends anymore. So it meant a lot for those boys to care about something that happened to me. Thanks boys!
We started road show practice this weekend and I thought it was going to be so dumb. It was actually really fun! Me and my group had a good time and made light of every situation. I think it will turn out well :) Saturday night I went and hungout with a few friends and we talked about our "dream life" We explained every little detain of how we want our lives to turn out. I'm glad I'm friends with them so I can see how our lives finally come together.
Today was stake conference and there were two things that stuck out to me. "If life were easy, there would be no need for faith in God" and "We have to move our feet in order for the Lord to direct our footsteps" << Words to live by right there.
I'm excited for this week! Should be much better than last week. I'm excited for Mormon prom! I got some really cute shoes to go with my dress that I can't wait to wear!
Here's to more experiences that make us stronger and realizing everything will be okay.
All I have listened to all week is country music. I'm such a country wanna be. But at heart I am a country girl. I have a new love for Jason Aldean, Zac Brown Band, and Eli Young Band. Jason Aldean is the only millionaire I know that looks unhappy ALL THE TIME. Seriously bro, cheer up!
Since I never wanted to take piano lessons when I was younger, I told myself I would learn to play the piano while Aaron was gone. So yesterday I sat down at the piano, looked up how to play "Faithfully" by Journey and started playing. Surprisingly it was pretty easy. I think I could be really good if I practiced regularly and went out and bought some piano books. I know how to read music so I just have to figure this whole left hand AND right hand thing down. So here's to some more piano practice! ;)
I have been looking for a job for a while now.. and a few of my friends have told me to go apply at Hollister. Not the first place I want to work, but a lot of people have told me they are looking for new employees sooo.. yeah. Filled out that application today in the store. Hopefully something happens!
I don't know what is going on with all the teachers in school lately but I think they are all trying to kill us. Week after spring break and I have SO MUCH homework tonight. I have been doing it since like 2 so I can't even focus anymore. I needed a break. I think next week will be better though since this week has been rough. I have good grades right now so hopefully tomorrow doesn't mess me up. Of course my biggest assignment all year is in ASL and it is one thing I HATE doing in class. READING. And to make it worse, we had to read it off a computer screen, so after about 10-15 minutes I would have to close my eyes for a minute or two cause I couldn't focus on the words anymore. Plus the book is super rare and deathly boring. It's called "Cry of the Gull" and it's an autobiography of a deaf girl made Emmanuelle. Anyway there are about 10-20 questions for each chapter and it's too boring to focus on. I will have to finish that next. Also in English we have to write an essay on what we think about the book "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" I went with the negative side which I can't tell if that was a mistake or not. Really the only negative thing about the book is the language and how offensive it is to some people. But there's really only one flip side to it too, the growth it gave to American Literature. I'm almost done with that though. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday! I need to sleep in for hours and hours. I'm so done with school. Less than 50 days left!
I stumbled upon this hilarious blurry picture on my phone of Aaron and I from Christmas break :) hahaha he has two faces.... :)
I guess I'll try to stay focused on my homework now.. Just have to stay out of the internet completely.. aka tumblr. :P
This is my new favorite quote:
"With faith in God, the easiest and the hardest of times can be a pleasure" - Henry B. Eyring
*****Warning: This is a very cheesy/sappy story. If you don't like cheese, just "X" out before saying anything*****
I have a pretty special story that I never posted to my blog. Mostly because I didn't have a blog when this happened. Anyway.. this summer while at the beach Aaron and I went up to some big rock and decided we were going to make wishes and through nickels into the ocean. We always promised each other that we would tell each other what we wished for. I looked at him and he said softly "You first" so I closed my eyes, made a wish and tossed my shiny, silver coin into the violent crashing ocean. He then did the same thing and when he released his coin he almost sounded excited when he whispered "What'd you wish for?" I hesitated and then told him. I turned to him and said "What did you wish for?" He looked at me and smirked, heading back down the rock toward the crowd. I put my hands on my hips and shouted down the beach "Hey! That's not fair!" While his feet sank into the moist sand he turned around, lifted one eyebrow and smiled. He didn't have a response but the look was as he was shouting "I love you!" I didn't mention it for as long as I could thinking I would soon forget. I didn't have a chance of ever forgetting. I waited until the drive home until I uttered anything else about it. It was late and I figured he would tell me now. The music was loud as we sang along to a twanged out country song. I turned it down and said with a fake, sad puppy dog-like face "You never told me what you wished for" With a coy smile on his face he just grabbed my hand and we sat in comfortable silence for a few minutes. Although for me, I knew exactly what that meant, I decided to tease him a little more later on. As we pulled into my driveway I said again "You still never told me..." He looked at me right in my eyes and said "You." "Me?" I said, "Yeah, I wished for you. That you would always be mine." I know what you're thinking happened next. No, not what you're thinking. He did't kiss me, he didn't touch my hand or face or knee, he didn't say anything. He just looked at me, and that was all I ever needed.
I know the title of this song is kinda weird... But this is such an amazing song, with a great message.
These past few days I have listened to Rascal Flatts NONSTOP. I have listened to all 90 songs of theirs that I have each like 10 times.. haha ILOVETHEM. <3
I <3 the chorus of this song
Yesterday I went to Beacock Music with my friend Max, and we had fun putting together some "Sick Nasty" beats as he called them. I'm sure the employees were very annoyed after an hour straight of perfecting a great beat. Oh well, they work there! Last night me, Max, Stephanie, and some kid Tanner went to the nickel arcade for a few hours. That place is pretty fun! The boys played a shooting game for like 20 minutes straight though and Steph and I awkwardly stood beside them. After that we were going to go to VooDoo Donuts... but we couldn't find it. So we tried to go get pizza, but the pizza place was closed. Sooo.. last resort - TACO BELL! Nothing like fourth meal ;)
I guess I'm pretty tan....
As I was out during the day, my mom text me and said "Guess what??? Mail just came....." I said "FOR ME?!?!" her response: "Maybe... don't wreck the car coming home to get your letter" Let's just say I sprinted into the house like a little kid and looked from side to side as my mom held up an envelope and began to shake it back and for saying "OHHHHHH" I don't even think I said anything.. I just grabbed it and ran away. Haha the mail is the best part of my week for sure. Although the papers inside the envelope was nearly a third size of normal paper, these were my favorite letters so far. I'm so blessed to have someone like him even want to write me back. He's so awesome.
Well.. tomorrow's Easter you know what that means... I get a new dress! Not only that though, I get to go to church and remember the life of Christ. I love Easter Sunday. All the little kids are dressed up and there are lots of musical numbers and great speakers.
I'm kinda glad Spring Break is over though. I just want to get the rest of this school year over with. We have less than 50 days until we are SENIORS. Scary but so exciting! 14 short months until we graduate which is even more exciting and scary. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Here's to a (what looks like) sunny, warm day! :)
This is my favorite song right now. Hunter Hayes plays all the instruments on his CD which just amazes me. He isn't very well known right now, but he should be! He's great!
Yesterday I woke up and did my usual spring break ritual.. Went to the family room, turned on GAC (Great American Country) and poured myself a bowl of cocoa krispies and ate as I enjoyed the soothing sounds echoing in my little head. Anyway, the station goes to a commercial and I see "The next video is from our GAC artist of the month, Rascal Flatts featuring their new CD "Changed" - Now in stores" I freaked out a little bit because I was SURE that their CD came out on the 7th! Next thing I knew I was in line at Target with the CD in my hand. The CD is awesome! I love it so much. I just love Rascal Flatts. And this time they have a nice variety of upbeat and slow songs. I have to say my favorite so far is Right One Time. They are such talented men.
Lady Antebellum has a new song that I just LOVE too. It's called "Dancin' Away With My Heart"
Today I didn't have anything planned so as I was eating breakfast I thought "I wanna do something crafty today!" So I had an idea in mind that I had seen on pinterest so I headed to Craft Warehouse, bought my supplies and got going on my little rainy day project. I think it turned out pretty well.. for someone like me who isn't very crafty.
I tried to burn the edges and almost caught my garage on fire.. haha but everything's good! The only thing I'm not happy about is my positioning on the collage. There's a lot of empty space toward the bottom :/ But other than that, I like how it turned out. At least I did something with my time today! I even caught up on some reading from my book, which I am now really anxious to finish because I keep seeing all the movie previews. It is just starting to get really good, and suspenseful. As I was reading today, one of the main characters said "Sometimes the most ordinary things can be made extra ordinary simply by doing them with the right people" I love that. It's very true. So go do something extraordinary! :)
One of my favorite things right now is getting letters from Elder Davis. Although only one of these says "Getting their letters" all of them still apply to me. I don't care if I get one letter a month or one letter every 6 weeks. It's still always the best part of my week. I enjoy hearing about experiences and things that go on all the way across the world. I love reading his letters because I feel like even though we are so far away, we strengthen each other so much and motivate each other to be even better. I <3 missionaries.
